The Villas of Guerin Woods opened in May 2008. Built in a residential style, The Villas provide assisted living and skilled nursing care for frail Elders age 62 and older.

Guerin Woods, a development for senior citizens, opened in April 2005 and includes Guerin Woods Apartments, 22 two-bedroom apartments for individuals and couples age 62 and older with limited incomes; Guerin Woods Senior Center, open to all seniors in Floyd and surrounding counties; and The Villas of Guerin Woods, providing assisted living and skilled nursing care for frail Elders age 62 and older in the “small house” setting.

With the opening of The Villas, Providence Self Sufficiency Ministries and its partner corporation Guerin Inc. are providing a full continuum of Elder care at Guerin Woods.

The living/gathering area in The Villas features a fireplace.

Each 7,100-square-foot Villa has 10 private bedrooms with full private bathrooms; a common living/gathering space with fireplace; an open kitchen and dining area; an enclosed patio with sensory garden; a spa equipped with a therapeutic mat and collapsible parallel bars; a den; and an office that replaces the traditional nurses’ station.

The Villas are state licensed and certified for Medicare and Medicaid. Private pay is accepted.

Providence Self Sufficiency Ministries provides administration, staffing and programming for programs and services at Guerin Woods.

The living, dining and kitchen areas in The Villas are open and accessible to all Elders.
