Providence Volunteer Ministry (PVM) is proud to be able to offer the Catholic Network of Volunteer Service (CNVS) AmeriCorps Education Awards to our volunteers.
AmeriCorps Education Awards are based on a certain number of volunteer service hours that must be completed within one year.
These awards can be used to repay qualified existing or future student loans or to pay all or part of the cost of attending a qualified institution of higher education (including certain vocational programs).
Each Catholic Network of Volunteer Service AEAP member is only eligible for two education awards in their lifetime, regardless of how many years they serve, or whether they have completed full, part-time, or minimum time terms of service.
Full-time requires a minimum of 1,700 hours.
Part-time requires a minimum of 900 hours.
Minimum-time requires a minimum of 300 hours.
The AmeriCorps Web site provides updates on AmeriCorps events and activities, tools and training materials, and FAQ's on a variety of topics including the education award.
