What she’s looking forward to:
“I think I’m looking forward to working with other volunteers that are committed to a common mission and with the Sisters of Providence.
“I’m really looking forward to a new experience. I realize it’s going to be hard and sometimes I may question my determination to come here, but I really feel like it’s something I needed to do to get some perspective on my life. I want to get some perspective in the field I am going to be working in.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to know the sisters and the community. From what I’ve seen already it’s been a very powerful experience to just be here and, to me, I would describe it as feeling the spirit of the community. It’s just such a strong and beautiful thing. I’m really glad to be here and to be experiencing that. It’s even taught me a lot just in the last week. I’m learning a lot about Mother Theodore and the roots of the community. It really inspires you to be determined and courageous.”
