Here is what some PVM alumni had to say about Connection Online.

After reading the newsletter and reading about the new PVM'S I was just so excited to hear some new news about Saint Mary of the Woods. Now that I am done with my B.S and while obtaining my degree my semester being a PVM in 2001 was so important in my life and shaped a lot of who I am now because of it. — Tricia Byron

I just opened up my email today and received the new edition of Connection Online. As I scrolled through the edition, I thought of my experience as a PVM (summer of '04) and how it truly shaped where I am today and I wanted to thank you and the Sisters for your tremendous influence!
While I was at Saint-Mary-of-the- Woods, I worked in the gardens and helped track Bovine Growth Hormone Legislation in Congress with Sister Mo's guidance. As I was preparing to head out to D.C. at the end of the summer with an internship at NETWORK, A Catholic Social Justice Lobby, Sister Mo told me about a "Green Festival" that would be happening in D.C. and suggested that I volunteer. I took her advice and signed up to help out with the music programming and had a WONDERFUL time learning new ways to green my life and my community. I then signed up to be a member of Co-op America (the sponsor of the Green Festival), fell in love with their mission of a sustainable future, and, after my internship at NETWORK concluded, came to work at Co-op America.
I just celebrated my one year anniversary as Co-op America's Executive Team Assistant and Intern Coordinator. I have my experience as a PVM volunteer and Sister Mo to thank for it!
And to top it all off, as I was reading over the new newsletter, I saw Mark Rusch's name. It's so great to know that a fellow Creighton alum will be working the fields of the White Violet Center!
Thank you for keeping me up-to-date, and please let Sisters Mo, PB, and Ann know how grateful I am for the experience they gave me while I was at White Violet Center! I hope those alpaca are doing well! — Samm Saarion
