Providence Volunteer Ministers gather four times a year for Sabbath Days.
The Hebrew word for Sabbath means "a day of rest, tranquillity, peace and refreshment." In this spirit, the PVM Sabbath Days were created to provide opportunities for the volunteers to take a break occasionally from their service work and come together for prayer, reflection, friendship, and a meal to renew themselves to go forth and carry on the mission of love, mercy and justice in their service settings.
