Director, Sisters of Providence Programming & Hospitality
The Director of Sisters of Providence Programming & Hospitality will embrace a vision for a life of sustainability in which humans and all creation live in right relationship with God, each other, and Earth through opportunities to experience and study spirituality, eco-justice, sustainability, theology, and the arts. The ideal candidate is one who shares this vision and has a demonstrated leadership style of collaboration, discernment and consensus building with a deep commitment to the charism and spirituality of the Sisters of Providence. The role requires strategic planning for the development and coordination of sustainable programs that is reverent of the Mission of the congregation. The role is intentionally positioned to assist a collaborative team in visioning and successfully implementing the opportunities to achieve the goal of providing A Sacred Place to Meet, Learn, Grow. It also requires oversight of the daily operations of Providence Center.
The position requires significant educational background in theology or a related field, with significant experience in administration, ministry and strategic planning and a personal knowledge of and commitment to the princeiples of eco-justice and sustainability. Individual will possess proven collaborative leadership and managerial skills; excellent interpersonal, speaking and writing skills; knowledge of and experience in strategic planning; commitment to familiarize him/herself with the life and legacy of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the mission of the Sisters of Providence; proven ability to work collaboratively with people of many religious, racial and socio-economic backgrounds; high degree of initiative; demonstrated skills in program design and administration, collaborative processes, research and evaluation; ability to manage growth, to efficiently solve problems, to meet deadlines and to manage demanding situations effectively.
