Successful Family Day at the Woods June 13, 1-4 p.m.

Hundreds of family members attended Family Day at the Woods June 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. EDT. Sponsored by the Sisters of Providence, this event delivered warm weather, fun, food and family time. All performances, activities, food and fun were open and free to the public. Children and the young-at-heart enjoyed:
- crafts for various ages
- choir concerts
- puppet shows
- face-painting
- All Saints Kazoo Band
- eco-obstacle course
- wiffle ball golf
- football toss
- duck pond
- bean bag toss
- "big bubble" blow
- sidewalk chalk art
- visits with the alpacas
- hay wagon rides
- Balloon Clown
- costumed cartoon characters
- chair massage (for adults)
- visit with the sisters and school grounds founded by Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and
- food donated by Sodexo, Pepsi and SP Food Services.
Performances in the Church of the Immaculate Conception were:
- 1:15 p.m. Sisters of Providence Shola
- 2 p.m. The Coon Holler Kids
- 2:45 p.m. Organ concert
- 3:30 p.m. Holy Angels Gospel Choir from Indianapolis
Two puppet show performances were held at Providence Center at 1:45 and 2:45 p.m.
