Advent Vespers
Visit St. Joseph Chapel on the first floor of Owens Hall at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., from 4:30 - 5 p.m. on Nov.29, Dec.6, Dec.13, and Dec.20 (each Sunday during the Advent Season) for Advent Vespers. Vespers is the Evening Prayer of the Church.
The Sisters of Providence invite others to join them during the Advent Season in praising God for the blessings of the day and asking God for assistance during the coming night. It is an opportunity to pray in ecumenical spirit the Psalms in song and to reflect on the Advent season's scripture readings.
Christmas Vigil - Dec. 24, 7 - 7:45 p.m.
The Sisters of Providence invite the public to a reflective prayer service which includes scripture readings, instrumental carols, singing of carols and candle lighting in the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
Christmas Day Eucharistic Liturgy, 10:45 a.m. - Noon
Join the Sisters of Providence Friday, Dec. 25 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. The service begins with a prelude of instrumental carols and singing followed by Mass.
Feast of the Holy Family Eucharistic Liturgy - Dec. 27, 11 a.m. - Noon
