The Office of the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin welcomes requests for prayer through the intercession of St. Mother Theodore. Sister Barbara Doherty, coordinator of the Shrine, learns daily of significant blessings in people's lives attributed to our saint's intercession with our Provident God. Do e-mail, write or call Sister Barbara to inform us of the blessings you attribute to this great Woman for all Time.
The present Shrine is interim. Plans are underway to create a new place, more given to quiet prayer and frequent visits, plus to offer information about Saint Mother Theodore Guerin and the work of the Sisters of Providence as one enters the Shrine.
Docents are available each Sunday in the Church (9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) to welcome visitors and pilgrims and to give any information requested about the life and deeds of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin. The casket, in which her remains are placed, is the center of the Shrine. At the time of her Canonization it was handmade of walnut wood from the trees of our Woods by two of our capable carpenters, Tony Dubois and Tim Wilson. She rests in peace in her Indiana.
Sister Barbara Doherty is the coordinator of the Office of the Shrine of Saint Mother Theodore Guerin.
Prayer requests are placed daily in the Book of Petitions located at the Shrine pictured above. It is located in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. The Sisters of Providence pray for these hopes and concerns daily at the Eucharistic Liturgy.
