Have you ever given much thought to how people traveled in the 1800s? Probably not! Public transportation or your parents’ wheels get you and your peeps where you want to go. For longer trips, you may even fly to your destination.

Well, travel in the 1800s was definitely different and slower! Actually, roads that could be traveled were just being built and a craze for building canals began. Eventually, trains made travel faster.
